Example of how to use Improv to practice piano and learn composition - audio clip

• In this audio clip, I “go off” on a tangent and explore an interesting pianistic cadence.
• The source is Debussy’s Poissons d’or (Goldfish) from his Images Book II - the very final passage.
• It’s a simple I-V descending cadence alternating between F# Major and C# Augmented, very watery and “impressionistic”, and quite effective.
• I explore changes to the notes in the two chords, and also applying the pattern to other chords and progressions, and wind up with an interesting compendium of F# Major Candence/Cadenzas.
